Giant Runs Florida Town

In the 1950s, Giant’s Fish Camp was a well known tourist attraction in Gibsonton, Florida. Al Tomaini (who earned fame on the sideshow circuit as a giant) and his wife Jeanie (known as the Half Girl) ran the camp, rental cabins and its roadside restaurant. Both Jeanie and Al are featured in White Shadow. Ace knew Jeanie before she died in the late 90s and remains great friends with the Tomainis’ daughter, Judy.
